Fatima Bint Mubarak Women Sports Award has announced the numbers of participants in its sixth edition after completing the judging process
Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy has announced the completion of the judging process which lasted for more than three weeks for the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women Sports Award in its sixth edition, with the participation committee consisting of forty-one members of the world's elite names in sports.
According to the figures unveiled by the committee, the Academy has received more than 300 applications for nominations in the different categories, and the ‘Best Arab Woman Athlete’ category has topped the highest number of registrations with more than 60 applications, followed by two categories - Best Emirati Woman Athlete and Best Female & Male Coach - with numbers close to 100 registration requests.
The award, which includes several categories, received large numbers of female & male candidate nominations from more than 15 Arab countries, and the registration date was opened last July. The number of registered persons from each of the UAE, Egypt, and Morocco constituted half of the total number, while the other half were female candidates from the GCC, Algeria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and others.
Competition categories within this award include both individual and collective levels in various departments such as sports management, training, research, sports sponsorship, and women of determination. The total money prize for the award is AED 1,700,000.
Every year, the Award seeks to honor the sports personality of the year, where sports personalities whose experience exceeds twenty years of competition are eligible, and this category is at the level of the Arab world.
